The Christmas Tree Project: Family #9 (Gresham)

Family #9 is from Gresham, Oregon. They have 2 adults and 4 children in their household.

We are dealing with a lot right now. Our lease on our unit is about to expire so we are quickly looking for a place to move that we can afford. One of our twins is currently at Emanuel Children’s Hospital and has been for a week. All the money that we did have saved for Christmas is now paying for the bills that we are getting from the hospital.

This year is been very tough and we just don’t have the money to do Christmas.

This is a list of what they both need and gifts for the kids this year. If you select one of the identification numbers, you are committing to providing for all the “needs” and at least one “want” listed. If a number is crossed out, that means it has been taken!

#9-1: Boy, Age 7 months
Needs: Long sleeve onesies, pants, one piece pajamas (size 9 months+)
Wants: Veggie Tales items

#9-2: Boy, Age 7
Needs: Long sleeve shirts (size 7), warm coat, pajamas
Wants: LEGOs (serviceman type), Nerf gun, remote control police card

#9-3: Boy, Age 5
Needs: Long sleeve shirts, pants, sweatshirts (size 6)
Wants: Smurf movie, Smurf toy, Playdough

#9-4: Boy, Age 5
Needs: Long sleeve shirts, pants, sweatshirts (size 6)
Wants: Mater toy (Cars movie character), Green Lantern toy, Batman car

#9-5: Woman, Age 29
Needs: Size 6 (Old Navy), socks

#9-6: Man, Age 28
Needs: Long sleeve plain shirts (size medium), socks

If you are able to provide for one or more of these people, please comment with your working email and the identification number in the text section (i.e. I’ll take #1-3 and #1-5!). Go here for more information on donation drop-off locations and times.

we have checked into the medical assistance thank you!!:) and we don’t qualify for the state assistance since there is health insurance threw the employer.:( but with the medical assistance threw the hospital there is a lot of paper work that is being done and also from what we understand still have a portion that we are paying on now so we dont go into tremendous debt. Thank you for offering that not a lot of people know that they do this!!!!! we also have hospital bills from our youngest just being born and things that were needed for him and mom as well, it was a triple whammy this year:(

Contact the business office at Legacy. If you cannot afford the medical bills or they bring hardship you should qualify for charity care. Just call and ask for assistance. Wish I could help more but maybe this will help!

That and also OHP and Healthy Kids if the family doesn’t qualify for OHP for the kids. They will cover medical bills for the past 6 months I believe it is as well when you get coverage.
