I went last night to walgreens for the spend 30 get 10rr. I had intended on buying 4 gain and 11 dawn and usind 4 of each coupon. I had also planed on getting 10 chex mix. I got to the register and the very rude cashier rolled her eyes and said, “your going to have to hold on so I can call for another cashier”. Then rang me up. The total was much higher than I had calculated and when I asked why, she told me walgreens only honors the first 2 items st sale price. WHAT!?! I knew the dawn would only be 3 @ .99 and 8 @ 1.49 because the ad specified this, but I had never heard of only 2 at sale price. So, I decided it was still not a horrible deal for the soaps only and had her take back 8 chex. After i paid and expected the 10rr, it didnt print! Not because I hadnt spent 30 bucks. When i spoke to a manager, they told me its 10x points and even though the ad and sales tags said 10rr, refused to give me the 10rr! At this point, i was so angry with the transaction I returned everything and they wouldnt give me my coupons back! I had taken a long break from walgreens because of their horrible employees and limited stock and this experience just confirmed I will never return! Hope others have better coupon experiences at walgreens.
The ad clearly says get 10 in RR when you purchase 30 of P&G products. I would call the corporate office and complain, heck I would have done it right there in front of the manager. Most of them will budge at that point. They need to honor their sales!!
I saw another person mentioned the infant care booklet, but I’ve gone to 4 different Walgreen’s and 1 was out and the other 3 have no idea what I’m talking about. Is there anyway that you could post a picture of the booklet so that i can show them what I’m talking about to see if it helps them locate it? Just a thought and love the site!
I seem to have constant issues with Walgreens.. no matter which location I go to they give me trouble. Sometimes they figure things out in 5 minutes, sometimes it can be an hour! Today, I went in to get a few items. My husband was also with me. I went in and got 2 boxes of Playtex Gentle Glides. I had a RR that was $2/2 from a previous visit, as well as two $1/1 coupons that I used. I also bought the $4/5 Progresso deal, with the $1/4 coupon. Finally on my list, I was getting the Dawn Dish Soap @ $0.99 ea, with a $0.50/1 coupon. In my basket I had 10, because I had 10 coupons. I know I needed to split them into 2 sets of 4 and a set of 2 because of the coupons, but the in-store ad also had a limit of 3 per. So instead I broke them down into 3 sets of 3 and 1 put back. My husband and I got everything to go smoothly until the soap. The register guy refused to let me do another transaction… and also told me that I was only allowed 3 per customer, per day. I asked him to show me that – because I had looked at the ad as well as the sticker by the soap and had not seen this. He showed me the ad, and I explained to him it doesn’t specify I cannot do different transactions. He still refused, even though we now had a 10 minute long conversation about this, and there were about 5 other people behind us. (My store unfortunately only ever has 1 check stand open at a time!) Now, I know it really isn’t a big deal, but it was extremely frustrating to both me, as well as the people in line behind me… Is there any advice for situations such as these? I almost wanted to sit tight there until he found a manager I could speak with that would in fact tell me I was limited per day… but I always feel bad for holding up the line 🙁
Thank you for any advice!!!
The Keizer, Oregon store is imposing a store limit of earning 2 register rewards per person, per day. It is from the manager, but is only at this store. They seem to have room to make up policies for their store and enforce them. Ridiculous! The ad shows pages of deals, but they limit to 2…not even the same, but 2 of ANY register reward!
The Osteo Bi-Flex is on sale for $19.99 B1G1. There’s a WAG booklet coupon for $5.00 which they double at checkout (confirmed this afternoon). If you have any of the $7.00 coupons from a few weeks ago, this is a steal. I only had 1 left so I paid $7.99 for 2 but if you have 2 coupons, it’s $0.99 for two!
I got 3 packs of 184 ct. wipes for 2.50 pretty good price if your in need of diapers…i used the $2 coupon in the infant care booklet and the $.50 manu. coupon in the paper. sale price is 4.99
ANY DEALS ON GAIN THIS WEEK for Us using point system anyone know i have read online that if you puchase $30 in Gain product you will get a $10RR + a $3 RR + $3 Catalina Anyone try this in Oregon and is it working HERE THanks
I’m considering “biting” on the Wags p&g promo for the cascade dish detergent. I’m moving to a new place that has a dishwasher and I have NONE. Is this a good price? Granted, it is a huge quantity, but I have tons of storage. It is $13 oop (I have 11$ RR to put into it), which is way more than I ever like to pay.
