Yes, this really is what I was doing when the clock struck 12 and a new year began. Not quite as much fun as I used to have on New Years before I had little ones who needed to be in bed before midnight, but still, there is something quite refreshing about throwing out the old in order to welcome the new. In that light, well, I think it was rather fitting that I was tossing expired coupons, don’t you? Now my coupon box is somewhat empty looking, poor thing, good thing there are supposed to be 5 inserts in the paper this Sunday! Think of all the possibilities! Ooooo, the suspense!
Edit: Here is a link to KrazyCouponLady’s post about sending expired coupons to military families. She lists in detail exactly what to do and which military base she sends coupons to. Another link with a nearly complete list of bases accepting coupons can be found here.
I remember a day when I got excited about the latest rock climb I just redpointed or doing a 180 and clearing the wake with my wakeboard. Now, I get excited about the latest coupon deal I just scored. Now that I think about it, I think the adrenaline level is about the same:) I probably don’t burn quite as many calories couponing though……unless buckling and unbuckling two children multiple times a day and coralling them in different stores counts.
These are my thoughts at 1:30 in the morning on the very first day of 2010,
hope you like them! I know, I’m so enlightning.
