Make sure you check the current list of Catalina promotions before you plan your deals. Find more Safeway deals here.
Most of these deals use a Safeway double coupon, which is available at Oregon & SW Washington (Wahkiakum, Cowlitz, Clark, Skamania & Klickitat Counties) Safeways only. You can double up to 4 manufacturer’s coupons per transaction, up to $.50 each. You may not double a coupon marked with “Do Not Double” or an internet printable coupon. The double coupon is found in the weekly ad at the bottom of the middle page and look’s like this:

I found the Hersheys deal to be pretty good. Buy 2 Get 2 Free.
Bought 4 Hersheys
Used BOGO coupon for Air Delight from SS.
Used the $.50 cat from the FREE Dole Pineapple.
OOP $.12 bar
I’m going back to stock up on more pineapple and candy bars. Now I just have to figure out a yummy recipe that combines both.
The numbers as presented above on Coppertone do not compute.
Two @ $5.99 each is $11.98, less $3/2 cpn and 50-ct doubler = $8.48 or $4.24 each. If there truly is a $5/2 cpn in the forthcoming Sunday paper, then they would be as low as $3.24 each.
Thanks Howard, I always find your comments to be valuable … So I purposely scan for them. Do you have a blog of your own ?
can someone please clarify whether or not the Portland Oregonian got the coppertone coupon please. thank you.
SW pdx papers did not get it. I’ve checked 3 times now. 🙂
I have a question about the Justforu program. When you load coupons like .50 cents off Trix cereal, can you stack that with a manufacture coupon or not?
No, the coupon on the J4U is a manufactured coupon not a store coupon.
Has anyone had trouble with the June Dairy Month Promo? I didn’t get a code print out at the checkout, called catalina and they issued me a code that says it’s already been activated?!?. Have emailed them back twice and still nothing.
BEWARE THE DANGEROUS CATS AT THE SAFEWAY ZOO:
I got a $5 catalina last week from purchase of Ranchers beef. I’m pretty sure it was for $5 off of anything. I used it today and it rang up as a meat coupon for $0 (maybe because I didn’t buy meat?). I took it to Customer Service and she gave me $5.
Soooo… can I use a manufacturers coupon that I printed off-line on the safeway doubl’r??
Internet coupons are not eligible for doubler unless you have a really nice cashier.
actually i have heard that too but if you go to your just for you savings list and look at the bottom of the page in the fine print it states: “double coupon” promotions do not apply to any internet or digital coupons except for applicable internet printed manufacturer coupons. So that contradicts what the mill plain vancouver safeway store told me. but thats why i shop in oregon cause they always double them. and bet your beans i will be taking this list with me all the time now!!
I read that language, too, last week and it made no sense to me, especially since the Safeway Doubl’r specifically excludes internet/digital cpns, as I recall.
I have asked others and no one got copper tone q on Oregonian. :(. Are you sure? Thanks
I do not see the coppertone coupon, either. Can someone please tell me if they found it in the Oregonian coupons?
I could not find Coppertone cpn in the Oregonian for the dates listed in the flnw.com database. However, there is supposed to be a $5/2 cpn in the 6-24 newspaper.
Yes Portland got copper tone coupon 😉
I can’t find the dole coupons. The only ones I see are for dole oranges. Did someone see those?
Weber Grill Mates marinades are also BOGO ($1.69) and are eligible for the 75 cents off 2 cpn.
Oops, Grill Mates are NOT a Weber product. They are BOGO but not part of the man cpn. At my Safeway, Weber marinades were $1.49 and $1.99 depending on flavor, all BOGO. No problem using the 75 cts/2 cpn when buying two and using doubler.
did Portland get the coppertone q?
RE the 1 gallon pure silk coconut half gallon at $2.79. I have eleven sunday paper .75 off 1 half gallon (exp 7/15) that I do not want. If anyone wants to pick up some or all of these coupons at my office off Sylvan exit/Hwy 26, I can leave them at reception with your name on envelope. Email emmamom@gmail.com if interested. Each one is attached to .75 off 1 silk fruit and protein that I also do not want.
Classico coupon says Do Not Double.
dole pinapple on sale BOGO $.99, use 50cents of 2 coupon (think from yesterdays paper) and double makes 2 cans free!!
The July 27 issue of All You has the Dole coupon
I just returned from Safeway to try the Dole pineapple chunk deal. I had three coupons of .75/2 that arrived in SS express via mailboxs on Tuesday. There was only one checker working and he said I must buy 4 cans to use 1 coupon. (Some of the checkers are OK with just 2 cans which would have made the deal free.) I said OK, then lets just get 4 cans and I’ll use 1 coupon only. (I wanted to think about this before I committed to 12 cans of pineapple!) After I bought the 4 cans for .99, a Cat spit out compliments of Dole for .50. So, I went back and did the deal 2 more times, and received a Cat each time. Making a grand total of 12 cans of pineapple for $1.47!
I also grabbed two packets of the Webbers marinade just add juice for .12 each. I have 4 more of those .75/2 if anyone wants them – i can leave them under your name at Safeway Raleigh Hills in an envelope. Email Emmamom@gmail.com if interested.
Just realizing that my cashier re buy quantity 4 on a B1G1 only enforced that on the pineapple and probably because I opened my mouth and asked if my club card had scanned properly because I didnt see the free pineapple on the monitor… he didnt enforce that rule on the marinade packet which is also B1G1 and was done at the same time.
I don’t understand how the salsa comes out to $1.35 ea. Can someone explain it to me please? Thanks!
Because $1.50 ($1/2 coupon plus the $0.50 doubler) subracted from $4.19 (the price of one, but since it is a BOGO deal, it is $4.19 for two salsas) is $1.345, rounds up to $1.35. 🙂
