Has anyone’s Fred Meyer location gone through one of the recent remodels that are going on around the FM universe ? I would like to hear about the changes please, I have heard good & not so good things about all the changes. As a shopper at FM various locations for 50 yrs I feel the need to brace myself with the changes. Thanks for any insight.
Yes, both near me (Burlingame and Tigard) have been renovated. A giant pain in the neck trying to find stuff that’s been put into temporary locations during renovation, and I’m still relearning both stores even after completion. I do like the increased number of self-checkouts, though, and the staff is always helpful and friendly, at those locations and others like Beaverton and Raleigh Hills. They really instill good customer service into their employees.
I usually shop the Johnson Creek store, which has gone through many renovations in the last few years. It’s a pain to re-learn product placements, which is how I make up my shopping list. If one has a smartphone, one can get the FM app to locate products, or find a red-vested person or ask an employee who is picking out items for ClickList orders.
I don’t like that they have installed more self service, especially the new Scan and Go, (which could lead to more theft, no matter what they say) and reduced live checkout employees.
