I just shopped at the Johnson Creek FM. The shelf tags do indeed proclaim the price to be $3.59 on both sizes. Being the curious and stubborn sort, I took a box of each when I checked out. The quart bags stayed at $3.59, but the gallon bags rang up at $1.79, and the $2 catalina printed out.
I like the slider closure style better but I’m a big fan of only paying 24 cents.

Thanks for the updated. I was wondering if that was the case and they weren’t marked.

Maybe i can check QFC pricing this evening after work .

I went to Johnson Creek Fred Meyer last night and the cheapest Ziplocs were around $3.99. I think this is a Kroger deal and not a FM deal.
Kate from Frugal Living NW says
No, it was tested at a local Fred Meyer on the westside of pdx.

I looked and looked for Ziploc bags that were cheaper but my Fred Meyer only had the 15 count gallon size bags on sale for 1.79. All of the other Ziploc bags were around the 3.79-5+ price. So even if I used the coupons and rec’d the cat, it didn’t seem like that good of a deal? :/ (at least for the first transaction that would be pre-catalina ;))
Kate from Frugal Living NW says
So this is the best deal for the 15 ct. Thanks for the heads up.

I just invested in a FoodSaver machine and looking to buy the refill rolls to use. Where is the best place to get the deal for that? Thank you.
Susan says
Every once in a while Fred Meyer has them for 1/2 price. I buy the 5 roll box when they have this sale.
Other than that, Costco would probably be your best bet.

I originally bought my Foodsaver bags at FM. Around Christmastime they had the bags (rolls) on a BOGO sale and a really good price on the Foodsaver itself. Merry Christmas to me! Unfortunately, I ran out of bags with no sale in sight. Amazon to the rescue! While they did have the Foodsaver brand, I decided to go with the much less expensive bargain brand. They do not have the nifty white part to write on, but my Sharpie seems to write on these bags just fine & without smudging. I got one 8″ x 50 foot roll & one 11″ x 50 foot roll for $36 – a much better price than even the FM BOGO sale. And no shipping with my Prime account. Yea!! Best of all, I’m happy to report that I’ve been using the bargain brand for over two months with nary a single failure (according to the reviews a couple others were not so fortunate.

I’ve bought them at FM when they had a BOGO sale & got the 5 roll box (2 rolls 8″ x 20 feet & 3 rolls 11″ x 16 feet. The regular price at my local FM is $49.99. I ran out with no hint of a deal in sight. So, I hopped on Amazon and found the Foodsaver brand much the same price, but they also had a non-brand (off-brand? bargain-brand?) option and despite the somewhat mixed reviews, I decided to give it a try. For $36, I got 1 roll 8″ x 50 feet & 1 roll 11″ x 50 feet and my Amazon Prime account got me free shipping! The only difference I can tell is they do not have the white part to write on, but a Sharpie works just nicely on the bags and doesn’t smudge (just give it a minute to dry). I’m happy to report that I’ve been using them for a couple of months with nary a single failure!

Are Ziploc storage bags on sale for same price? I imagine the cat would apply to those, too, right?
Kate from Frugal Living NW says
A cat will print for those too but this is the best price.
Howard says
Thanks for the info, great deal. For what it’s worth, I checked my Oregonian sections for 8-10 and 9-21 and found the Ziploc cpns in both. The earlier ones expire Oct 5; Nov 9 for the latter ones.
Kate from Frugal Living NW says
Thanks!!
Melody says
Jennifer, thank you for letting us know there is an ecpn as my inserts didn’t have them either.
Jennifer says
Not a problem, but I have to give all the credit to the coupon database on this site. Such an awesome tool! 🙂
Jennifer says
The $1/2 coupon is available as a digital load-to-card on the Fred Meyer site. Lucky for me, since neither of my inserts had that coupon.
