Most of these deals use a Safeway double coupon, which is available at Oregon & SW Washington (Wahkiakum, Cowlitz, Clark, Skamania & Klickitat Counties) Safeways only. You can double up to 4 manufacturer’s coupons per transaction, up to $.50 each. Safeway is inconsistent from store to store about doubling internet printed coupons. The double coupon is found in the weekly ad at the bottom of the middle page and look’s like this:
Safeway stores are inconsistent from store to store with their double coupon policy. The following is taken directly from Safeway’s Just4U coupon policy on their website:
Check with your local store regarding “double coupon” promotions where customers will receive double the manufacturer coupon face value off the regular or club card price up to the identified limit. Not all locations offer double coupon promotions and the terms of such promotions may differ by time and store. Limitations and restrictions for double coupon promotions may change at any time. Changes will be posted in store only. “Double coupon” promotions do not apply to any internet or digital coupons except for applicable internet printed manufacturer coupons. These explanations and restrictions on “double coupons” apply to any promotion that increases the value of a manufacturer coupon beyond its face value.

I have the same question as Summer…do they scan store coupons, then the $10 off $50, and then manufacturer coupons? Also, can we still use a doubler coupon with the manufacturers? Thanks!
Brenda says
Catherine,
You can use the doubl’r coupon with manufacturer coupons, but there’s still a bit of debate whether you can use them with internet printable coupons. Ultimately it appears to be up to the cashier, the store I usually shop at has some that will and others that won’t double them.
See my response down below Summer’s regarding the order of coupon scanning.
Catherine says
Thank you, Brenda!
Summer says
Do they apply the $10/50 before the manufacturer coupons? Is that how the oop is so low?
Brenda says
It doesn’t matter when they scan the $10 coupon for it to come off correctly. As long as your total is over $50 after all sales, e-coupons, and store coupons (including the doubl’r), it will work. The only possible issue that might arise is the cashier refusing to scan the $10 coupon if your total is under the $50 after scanning your other coupons but I haven’t run into that issue for quite awhile.

I did not find the $10/3 Bayer coupon in the 1/4 coupons. I got a $2 off Bayer coupon. Did anyone get the $10/3 Bayer in the Portland area?
Laurie from Frugal Living NW says
Good morning! I live in Portland and received this coupon in my inserts this past Sunday 1/4. It is good on many different products, not just Bayer aspirin, and expires 1/11/15. Hope that is helpful!
Howard says
In the Oregonian, it is in the 1-4 SS, the one with the Nestle logo on the front page. It’s in a 4-page Bayer section near the back.
hezgillespie says
Thank you!! I will look again.
Howard says
Great job on all that stuff! Pour the Delsym over the Special K and you’ll be both cough-free and gluten-free.

Hi – was wondering where in the paper you found the Safeway $10 off of $50 coupon? I checked everywhere in my Food Day Oregonian and couldn’t find it. Thanks!
Brittany from Frugal Living NW says
I found it on the front page of the food day instead of the back. It threw me off at first.
Tami says
I got mine in today’s (wednesday’s) Oregonian around page D12 I believe (or maybe it was page D2), its on a regular newspaper page right after the comics.
Howard says
