Howard says
I know lettuce is always high-priced in the winter, but what’s the deal with oranges and grapefruits this year? Could it be a bad crop due to the lack of rain in California? FM used to put grapefruit on sale regularly either 3 or 4 for $1, but not lately. I found navel oranges on sale at FM this week for $.69 a pound, lowest I’ve seen for a while, and they still came to 42 cents per orange. At least WalMart has bananas for $.42 a lb.
