Most of these deals use a Safeway double coupon, which is available at Oregon & SW Washington (Wahkiakum, Cowlitz, Clark, Skamania & Klickitat Counties) Safeways only. You can double up to 4 manufacturer’s coupons per transaction, up to $.50 each. You may not double a coupon marked with “Do Not Double” or an internet printable coupon. The double coupon is found in the weekly ad at the bottom of the middle page and look’s like this:

Is this a good deal? The Arm & Hammer Detergent (90 – 150 oz) is part of Friday $5 deals and there is a JFU coupon buy 3 save $3 which should apply to the $ 5 deals. There is also a $ 3/3 coupon from the A&H coupon database. So I believe the final cost would be $ 2.83/container (3 x $5= $15 – $3 JFU = $12 – $3 A&H coupon – .50 dblr = $8.50 / 3 = $ 2.83) .
Jacqueline says
Id buy it!
Cheryl says
What do you mean by the arm and hammer database? I looked on their site at coupons and did not see a $3/3 only a $1.50/3. Plus Safeway usually doesn’t double internet printed coupons
Cheryl says
Where did you find the second $3 off coupon from mfc?
SBrooks says
I was in error – it is actually $ 1.00/2 (the $ 1.50/3 is for powder detergent). Sorry for the confusion. I found it through Arm & Hammer special offers and coupons. I am able to double internet coupons at my store.
Susan says
I have a price of .92 lb. for broccoli crowns and a .50 off per lb (up to 2lb) = .42 lb in my Safeway account
Brenda says
Let me know if this works out for you Susan. I have the same deal on my account, but the .50 didn’t come off.
Howard says
I wouldn’t buy or eat it if they PAID me $.42 a lb to take it.
I don’t trust anything called a cruciferous vegetable.
Brenda says
You’re missing out, buddy!
Roasted Broccoli is crack to me…i can’t stop eating it…
Darn it, now I want some and don’t have any broccoli in the house!
michelle says
it worked for me…
Brenda says
Thanks for letting me know, might have to try it again!
Melissa says
Is the trash bag coupon gone already or is there a specific zip code I should use?
Libby S says
Just wanted to let everyone know the starkest tuna coupon is in the S1/5 insert not the 3/2. That’s when it expires
Stan says
Thanks for that. There were 2 SS inserts that week – the one with Lean Cuisine on front.
charolyn says
Those are delicious-got some on the last sale-ready to make sandwiches & the smoky flavor is great too.

Hi,
I just picked up some L’Oreal Advanced Haircare products at Safeway. They print $3 Catalina if you bought 3. I happened to have 2 $5/2 coupons, a $4/2 and a $2/1. I got 7 bottles and split it up into 2 transactions so I got 2 $3.00 Catalina plus Safeway doubles. They are on sale at Safeway for $3.99/each.
Transaction 1
Buy 3 at $3.99 total $11.97/3 before coupons
less $5/2
less $0.50 double
less $2/1
less $0.50 double
Pay $3.97 for 3 bottles or $1.32/each and get $3.00 Catalina
(I don’t like to count Catalina in a transaction if I didn’t use it to lower my bottom line but I count it for future transaction in this case for T2 below)
Transaction 2
Buy 4 at $3.99 total $15.96/4 before coupons
less $5/2
less $0.50 double
less $4/2
less $0.50 double
less $3.00 catalina from T1
Pay $2.96 for 4 bottles or $0.74/each and get $3.00 Catalina for next shopping trip.
NOTE: This scenario above would be way better if I subscribed to 5 sunday paper but I only subscribe to 1. The $5/2 coupon expired today and I scored it online on one of the links here and I clicked it for something else about 2 weeks ago. I always like to review every page on coupon.com in there’s a generous coupon and I happen to stumble upon the $5/2 coupon.
Hope this helps!
KM says
Oh and the catalina is good between 2/17/14 – 3/16/14
charolyn says
Also for those who shop Rite Aid-is a similar deal there-with the $3cat/3-also counts towards the February monthly +up!! If you make it to $200-they are free there. Also there is a $1 VV.
Deborah says
The think Thin Bars are on sale for $1.25. Use the $.75 manufacture/double coupons and these bars are FREE!
Stan says
MQ on last page of 2/2 RP.
Howard says
A few observations: I believe the Colgate cpn expired 2-15; haven’t seen the ad yet, but the $.99 Crests are probably all the ones that are excluded on the cpn (but I know some people will swear that it worked for them); not sure, but the Freschetta cpn might be a DND; most of the Gen Mills (cereal, fruit snax) deals listed above involve internet cpns which most stores won’t double.
Edie says
For stores that won’t double, there is a $0.50/1 Fiber One fruit snacks in the 2/9 SS (I think this is where it’s at; I didn’t double check the coupon database so apologies if I’m wrong). Free after double and Buy 4 Save 4. 🙂
Heather says
I didn’t see in the ad that the Fiber One fruit snacks were part of the Buy 4, Save 4 sale…can someone confirm this please?
Edie says
I just saw that Brittany included the $0.50/1 printable in the match up, I haven’t actually went to Safeway yet and looked myself though. Can take a gander today.
Rachel C says
The Fiber One fruit snacks are included. Got them for free!!!
Brenda says
Good news, Howard!
There’s a new Colgate toothpaste coupon coming in next week’s SS. It’s .50/1 any Colgate and can be doubled!
Howard says
Thanks, B. Frankly, I have more toothpastes than I have teeth. Have started giving some away.
charolyn says
Hey you two rite aid shoppers (and any others)-save those colgate coupons for next week-$3.50 with a $3 +up AND counts towards the Feb monthly +up=a money maker (next week is the last week for that). Giving it away is a great idea!! Plus helps you make other goals and get other items you do need.
Also see the rite aid blog in a few moments for a terrific Loreal face cream & make-up remover cloths I verified today (after a tip from a reader on another blog 🙂
Two smiley faces just for you Howard 🙂
Brenda says
Charolyn,
Just noticed that myself but thanks for the tip!
Alayna says
Am I missing something? Cheerios $1.49 ea if you buy 4 and you get $2/4 with two coupons making them $.99 ea and then you double the coupons it up to $1/4 making them $.74 each right?
Stan says
Agreed. And if you can’t double Internet coupons 2/2 SS had $1/2.
Tina says
I agree Alayna. I did the deal and they ended up being .74 ea.
