karinda says
Which smartsource has the Pepsi coupon? Is it the one that u have to download the app?
Howard says
I believe the $2/2 Pepsi multipack cpn was in 1-5 SS newspaper. It expires 2-4.
Howard says
Check your J4U personalized deals. I just found 2 freebies: Tostitos Medium Queso Blanco Dip, FREE, limit 1, expires 2-25. Also: Fiber One protein cereal, maple brown sugar or cran almond, FREE, limit 1, expires 2-25.
Sara says
I found peelies on my Planters peanuts for $.55 off California cheese. I paired this with the BOGO Lucerne 16 ounce cheese coupon in the ad and was able to get 2 blocks of cheese for $2.89 or $1.45 each.
DeAnn says
If you haven’t used your Sweet Baby Ray’s coupons yet, they are .99 each at Safeway, and you can use a doubler, so makes them .25 each.
Trisha says
The coupon is not for the 18 oz. size, bummer…
Kaitlyn says
The coupon does work I have already done this transaction a few times.
Kaitlyn says
I can’t seem to find to find the coupon for this deal.

Was the coupon only in certain areas??? I was just wondering if any one else was not finding this coupon.
Thanks
Brenda says
It must be regional, didn’t find it in the Oregonian or Columbian. I was looking for it last night, darn!
superjaz says
Too bad I love club crackers with soup or salmon spread
Howard says
“Any club that would have me as a member is not worth joining.”

i love all your wonderful ideas & suggestions, & wanted to add one more thing that would be helpful concerning Safeway… could u let us know when Safeway has their $10-off coupons in the oregonian & outlook (& foodday sometimes)? since i try to do my major shopping during those weeks, i always need to check the newspapers to see if one’s there. & sometimes when i’m too busy, i miss it, & kick myself later! getting a heads-up from u guys would be sooooooo appreciated! thx 4 all ur insights & for helping me save a bundle, even tho i work full time!
Howard says
It’s usually in the Wednesday FoodDay (Tues for some people) right around the first of each month. Should be one this week.
Brittany from Frugal Living NW says
Thanks Howard! Yup it’s always the beginning of the month. I’ll try to remember to write it in the post.
Brenda says
Just a FYI-
We have found lots of Unilever products on clearance or quick sale that when combined with the newly released coupons and doubl’r make them free or cheap.
Some examples : Axe deo for $1.99 (use $2/1 from 1/26RP)
Suave Professionals Shampoo $1.29 (use $1/1 from 1/26RP)
Dove for men deo $1.99 (use $1/1 from 1/26RP)
We found these still on the regular shelves not in a clearance area.
Of course there’s no guarantee that these are marked down at every store, but it might be worth it to take a look around the next time your shopping.

Found Claussen pickles for $2.50 in my J4U, after $.55 mc and dblr comes out to $1.45!!
Annye says
I thought 10 pounds of C&H white sugar for $5 on Friday sounded like a good deal — but maybe I’m mistaken?
Howard says
so-so price; not bad for post-holiday season
jim says
Good price on Pepsi for Friday only
$2.00/2 coupon in recent smartsource insert
making them $1.25 each
PJ says
Did that Pepsi deal a while ago, the cashier was shocked how low it went. He thought the 2/5 was a great deal!
Howard says
Thanks, Jim, I’d clipped those recently and sort of forgotten about them. They expire 2-4.
Ariel says
I haven’t price checked it yet, but is the 2/$5 a better deal than the B2G2 free that is going on now?
michelle says
yes definitely, partly because of that $2/2 q 🙂
superjaz says
They work on mountain dew too since its a Pepsi product. I wasn’t sure since the coupon said just said Pepsi, but then again it showed diet Pepsi but didn’t specify diet in the wording. Anyway used it on dew and scanned with no problems. Guy it will work on pop that has the “Pepsi product” in fine print
caitlin says
Wish my freezer was big enough to hold meat for a couple of months for four adults.
Howard says
There was a $1/2 Planters nuts cpn in 11-17 SS that expires 1-31, in case you need extras or want to save the newer one.
Robin says
I was at a Winco in Salem the other day, and they actually had the Oscar Mayer lunchmeat for $1.98. If calculations are correct, that would make it around $1.50 each after coupon.
Howard says
Yes, it must have been the DeliFresh, because my son bought some and used the $1/2 cpn, paid $1.48 each. (Sometimes not all flavors are the same price, so beware.)
Cindy says
I went to Harvest Foods in Moses Lake, and they had Yoplay greek yogurt for 25 cents each. I used the coupon save $1.00 on 5 yogurts, and ended up getting the yogurt for 5 cents each. I bought 35 of them for $1.75. Also, I got there early enough to score on clearance meat and bacon! The end of December our 10 year old son said I should start couponing again, and I said it would be my New Years resolution.
Cheryl says
I know I kind of feel like it should be this week also. Oh well, just have to wait a week. Wonder if they are planning any good meat sales soon. Haven’t seen the BOGO on ground beef in quite a while. Guess cows aren’t in season.
Howard says
I bought about 12 lbs of the 80% ground this week (sale ends today) for $1.99 a lb. I prefer the leaner kinds, but this was a good price and I was about out of it. Had a J4U for Rancher’s Reserve, but the burger didn’t qualify. Must have been Rancher’s Rejects.
Dina says
I too stocked up on the hamburger and chicken breasts….my freezer now has enough meat to last my family for a few months…hard to pass up the prices…
Courtney says
The J4U $3 off when u spend $25 on Ranchers Reserves has NEVER worked for me and i have tried it about 5 times
Howard says
Works fine for me when I buy roast beast or steak.
PJ says
Wait for the chuck roast to go on sale for around $2.49 and have them grind it for you. You get the ranchers select discount and get a better burger for about the same price. The burger is so much better, I rarely buy hamburger anymore.
Tiffany says
nope. normally it is the first week of the month
Leanne says
Does any know if the $10 off 50 was in this week’s paper?
Brittany from Frugal Living NW says
I was hoping this was close enough to the first of the month but it looks like we are getting it next week.
Sara says
Have you been to Safeway on SE Hawthorne? They have their own weekly ad every week(it says “SE Hawthorne only”), and the $10 off 50 coupon is always inside. Many products are much cheaper there as they have “overstock clearance” most of the time.
michelle says
what city?
Howard says
Portland. My store in SW Portland remodeled and has had its own weekly ad several times. Last week they had a $10/$50 cpn that does not specify that it is good only at the one store. Then I got a large postcard in the mail with the same offer good till 2-8, again with no store restriction.
