Most of these deals use a Safeway double coupon, which is available at Oregon & SW Washington (Wahkiakum, Cowlitz, Clark, Skamania & Klickitat Counties) Safeways only. You can double up to 4 manufacturer’s coupons per transaction, up to $.50 each. Safeway is inconsistent from store to store about doubling internet printed coupons. The double coupon is found in the weekly ad at the bottom of the middle page and look’s like this:
Safeway stores are inconsistent from store to store with their double coupon policy. The following is taken directly from Safeway’s Just4U coupon policy on their website:
Check with your local store regarding “double coupon” promotions where customers will receive double the manufacturer coupon face value off the regular or club card price up to the identified limit. Not all locations offer double coupon promotions and the terms of such promotions may differ by time and store. Limitations and restrictions for double coupon promotions may change at any time. Changes will be posted in store only. “Double coupon” promotions do not apply to any internet or digital coupons except for applicable internet printed manufacturer coupons. These explanations and restrictions on “double coupons” apply to any promotion that increases the value of a manufacturer coupon beyond its face value.

The Colgate coupon listed still says $.50/1.
Has anyone been able to successfully get the Kraft mayo stacking the digital coupon along with the paper mfg one making it .99 after doubling?
I have not tried it–I have too much mayo already–but J4U lists the $1.99 price as a store cpn, so why wouldn’t it combine with a mfr cpn? If you’re talking about a digital printable mfr cpn, then it would not stack with a paper cpn.
Tide Oxy 108 loads is on sale this week for 8.99. There is an in ad Safeway coupon for 3.00/3. Use three 4.00/1 coupons in this weeks P&G. Use 3 doubles. Pay 10.47, 3.49 each.
There’s an ibotta on any liquid detergent. Is this a liquid tide item?
It’s not liquid.
Quaker Popped Rice Crisps
Sale @$1.00/ea (Buy 10) = $10.00
$1.00/2 RP 1/04/15 (x5) = $(5.00)
Safeway Doubler (x 5) = $(2.00)
Total Cost Qty 10 = $3.00 (.30 cents ea)
Check your J4U personalized deals for a Nalley’s chili special. Mine was $.93. There’s a $.50/3 cpn in 1-11 SS (but not in the flnw cpn database). And you can accidentally snip the “Do not double” language off the bottom of it, if you are so inclined.
Howard!? I didn’t know you had it in you 😉
There’s a school of thought, which has been presented many times on this blog, that argues DND cpns should not exist; it should be up to the store, not the manufacturer, whether to double. And there are some who say “do not double” means something else entirely. Some of the Safeway cashiers barely look at the cpns and double everything.
Crest is part of the .99 sale as well!
Use either the .75/1, 1.50/2, or 2.25/3 coupon ( 12/28 P&G) and doubl’r to get them free!
Thanks, B, I missed that one. I got my 3 free Colgates this morning. I knew the cashier wouldn’t adjust the $.75 cpns for the potential overage, so I threw in a bag of FE cole slaw (kit) and paid only 47 cents for it instead of $1.25. Good stuff, by the way.
My kids will take only so much toothpaste, so I need to visit a local charity and give them about 4 bagfuls of the stuff.
Yes! Donate that toothpaste, charities are always running out!
I also agree about the coleslaw, it goes great with fish tacos!
Ewwww, fish tacos. Anyone who eats one in my presence, or offers me one, is risking physical harm, LOL.
whatever…i’ll happily eat yours…but far, far away from you!
How you prep your fish for tacos and what kind do you like? like beaded and fried or seared?
With my son’s sensitives he can have corn based things and I am trying to foster as much diversity to his diet. Sadly it’s pretty bare no cheeses (even dairy nut soy free has peas/potatoes in it) coslaw, I need a binder to keep the filling together (tomatoes once a week)
Mother of invention leads to crunchy gluten free cornbread cookies.
Well, I love halibut or cod grilled but have been known to throw a SeaPak frozen fillet in a tortilla out of laziness. The other toppings are usually whatever I can find in the fridge. I love a good mango salsa on fish and just add shredded cabbage and cheese. Though I doubt any of these things would work for your family and I’m not really familiar with food sensitivities. Sorry I couldn’t be more of a help.
I’ve had yummy cornbread crackers before, not sure about cornbread cookies though!
Corrections and additions:
–the 1-4 SS Colgate $.50 cpn expired Jan 17
–the 1-18 SS has a $.75 Colgate cpn
–there are $1/2 cpns in 1-11 SS for La Vic salsa and sauces.
Updated and thank you!
