Most of these deals use a Safeway double coupon, which is available at Oregon & SW Washington (Wahkiakum, Cowlitz, Clark, Skamania & Klickitat Counties) Safeways only. You can double up to 4 manufacturer’s coupons per transaction, up to $.50 each. Safeway is inconsistent from store to store about doubling internet printed coupons. The double coupon is found in the weekly ad at the bottom of the middle page and look’s like this:
Safeway stores are inconsistent from store to store with their double coupon policy. The following is taken directly from Safeway’s Just4U coupon policy on their website:
Check with your local store regarding “double coupon” promotions where customers will receive double the manufacturer coupon face value off the regular or club card price up to the identified limit. Not all locations offer double coupon promotions and the terms of such promotions may differ by time and store. Limitations and restrictions for double coupon promotions may change at any time. Changes will be posted in store only. “Double coupon” promotions do not apply to any internet or digital coupons except for applicable internet printed manufacturer coupons. These explanations and restrictions on “double coupons” apply to any promotion that increases the value of a manufacturer coupon beyond its face value.

I have a -$1/2 Sweet Baby Rays on my Saving Star account. Makes 2 bottles a MM.
Howard says
Not quite. The BBQ sauce on sale is 18-oz. The SS $1/2 is on 28 oz and up.
Sarah says
Does anyone know if the Safeway in Corvallis or Albany (Oregon) double printed coupons? I can ask them, but I rather know how much I’m going to spend before going to the store 🙂
Karen says
I have tried to use printed coupons in the Albany store only to be told that they refuse to honor them.
JHollyhock (aka Jennifer H.) says
Karen, try going at a different time and or using a different cashier. I was just there last night and didn’t have any problems.
JHollyhock (aka Jennifer H.) says
It is not so much the store but the cashier and the supervisor. Some supervisors just don’t go for it and even cashiers who might double won’t when an unwilling supervisor is hanging over their shoulder… So, the best bet is to get to know your cashiers and supervisors and find out which ones double and then go when they are working.
Laura, SW Pdx says
$5 Friday has Eggland Best Eggs at $2.50 each. There is a .50/1 in the November “Dash” insert that arrived with my Food Day today. It can be doubled… so $1.50 for eggs on Friday (or $2.00 today.)
There is a Finish Try Me Free for the 8 ounce Rinse Aid through 12/31/14 for $4.00 mail in rebate. The 8 ounce is on sale at Safeway for $4.49 and you can print .55/1 at coupons.com and double if store allows or download .55/1 to your Safeway card making the Rinse a money maker (unless you add in the cost of the stamp!)
Howard says
Safeway is doing the $10 OYNO deal on $100 in MasterCards thru Dec 2. Limit one per day, cannot use a gift card to buy another one. Best idea is to buy one $100 card instead of a combo, otherwise I think you pay the activation fee ($4.95?) on each card.
Cheryl says
Howard its $5.95 activation
Jenna says
What zip for the Skippy coupon? Can’t seem to locate it.
Howard says
Try 77477, that usually works well for me. I think I also made that my default zip on my cpns.com account (if you do that, you have to change the state in your profile to TX but can leave everything else as is). Also, there was a $.75/2 Skippy cpn in 11-2 SS Oregonian.
charolyn says
Thanks Howard-I was thinking there was one in an insert recently.
Howard says
Don’t try using the Skippy PB cpn on Skippy dog food, or it will beep (bark?) at the register.
Brittany from Frugal Living NW says
I have the skippy coupon in the 97080 zip code.
Jenna says
90708 worked, thanks!
