Oh, come to mama! Amber at Coupon Connections found the official Albertsons coupon policy. Here are the highlights: :: Albertsons accepts one manufacturer's coupon and one store coupon per item. This means they will not accept a weekly ad coupon with an Albertsons double coupon one one item (two store coupons). :: Albertsons will adjust the value of a manufacturer's coupon down to not exceed the price of an item. This means you cannot make money using a $2/1 coupon on an item that is priced at $1.79. :: Albertsons DOES allow manufacturer coupons that state they cannot be ‘doubled’ to be used in conjunction with a Twice the Value store coupon Keep Reading
Turkey Time : Prices from 6 local stores
Thanksgiving is right around the corner, and you know what that means. No, not Black Friday. I'm talking about turkey! I am probably the wrong person to be writing this post. My sisters and I decided to cook a non-traditional Thanksgiving feast this year, swapping out all the old favorites with new dishes. We got together last week with a stack of cooking magazines and books, creating a menu that would make your mouth water. It should be a fun experiment. That is, if the guys don't revolt on us when they hear we are roasting brussel sprouts instead of making stuffing and serving pear pie instead of the standard pumpkin. Even though we're giving Keep Reading

Walgreens 101
Walgreens Coupons: You can find Walgreens coupons from two different sources: the Walgreens weekly ad and the monthly Walgreens coupon book (both can be found at the front of every store). Portland is a test market for the Walgreens Rewards Card program. Because of this most of the coupons in our weekly ad can be redeemed simply by having the cashier scan your Walgreens Rewards Card. Read more about the Rewards Card program here. Stacking Coupons: The Walgreens coupon policy states that you can stack one Walgreens coupon with one manufacturer's coupon. Some stores will give you a hard time about this when you use the monthly coupon book. Keep Reading
Walgreens 101: Walgreens Rewards Card
As many of you know, Portland is a test market for Walgreens new Rewards Card program. I asked Brittany, our Walgreens expert, to explain how the program works and if it's something to get excited about. ****************** If you live in the Portland area and you shop at Walgreens, you probably have a Walgreens Rewards card by now. You might look at the ad and see statements like “10x points” and “500 bonus points” when you purchase select items. These statements might have you a little confused. What do these bonus points translate to in dollars? The short answer: not much. The day these bonus points ad up to much of anything, I will make Keep Reading
Price Comparison for Canning Supplies
I know enough about canning to be dangerous. Thankfully, my mom & sister know enough to be productive. Together we make a great team, washing jars, stirring pots, and filling pints with jam and quarts with vegetables. We also do our fair share of laughing, sharing, and eating along the way. At the end of the day, we split up the finished jars, heading home with that happy exhaustion that comes from a productive day. This year I have peaches, pickles, and tomatoes still on my canning to-do list. Just the thought of row after row of jars filled with brightly colored fruits & vegetables gets me excited. Am I weird? Please tell me some of you Keep Reading
