My husband and I put this menu plan together while we watched Call the Midwife. This is pretty much how we roll every Sunday night. Watch a show together while planning what to eat for the week ahead. Not a bad tradition. And we love this show (especially Chummy), but it doesn’t exactly inspire one’s appetite. My husband didn’t seem to have any problem, eating an ice cream sandwich and calling out “Lasagna!” in the middle of a birth scene. Hey, whatever works.
Here’s what’s for dinner at my house this week:
Monday — Breakfast for Dinner: scrambled eggs, potatoes, bacon, Applesauce
Tuesday — Lasagna, No-Knead Bread, green salads
Wednesday — Potato Soup, biscuits, coleslaw
Thursday — Grilled Steelhead with Spicy Teriyaki (My husband caught this fish back in January, and it’s been parked in our chest freezer ever since. We’re going to try making this on our outdoor grill.), leftover coleslaw
Friday — Leftovers
Saturday — Big Salads, No-Knead Bread
Sunday — Dinner with Family
