Abby is a proud Oregonian at heart (Hey, Sweet Home!) who now permanently resides in rural Mississippi (the local grocery store really is Piggly Wiggly). She loves hunting monsters with her kids, playing golf with her husband, and learning cool new slang from her high school students. Abby blogs at Winstead Wandering.
It was my goal, once upon a time, to try at least a few new recipes each month. I haven’t done a great job of following through on that lately, but with summer break on the horizon, I plan to get back into the swing of things.
The new-to-me recipes on this week’s plan are the grilled sausage and veggies and the waffles. I’m also borrowing an idea from another reader, Bethany, and making Sundays an official no cooking day.If you have a favorite picky eater-approved recipe, I’d love to try it. Please leave a link in the comments section!
Here’s what’s for dinner at my house this week:
Monday — Sausage & veggies on the grill
Tuesday — Oven-fried Chicken Chimichangas
Wednesday — Slow Cooker Chicken Caesar Sandwiches
Thursday — Banana Oat Waffles
Friday — French Bread Pizza
Saturday — Baked Spaghetti
Sunday — Leftovers

Oh, the glory of being someone’s inspiration! Even if I inspired them to do nothing. 😉
Seriously, though, I think you’ll like having a day off. As for your menu, it looks good! I haven’t made French bread pizza in years and I bet the little Ws would love it.
